When I first started playing with XOOPS, I really didn't know much at all, about the web in general. I knew how to surf the web I knew how to find pRon on the web, I didn't have a clue what "Really Simple Syndication" or "ATOM" feeds were, I would see them mentioned on some of the larger web sites, didn't know what they did.

I have been using XOOPS for a few years now, although not a Guru by any means, I do have a fair understanding of how things work. I am not great at PHP MYSQL or theme design lol, so what I am good at? Maintaining and configuring an XOOPS website. It's a constant learning curve for me, I try a little of everything that's involved in XOOPS. Make no mistake though, I read a lot!

Ubuntus latest Beta Operating System is out now, Hardy Heron has arrived. My own early experience with it is looking very good.

WRT54GL
This is my first router, it uses Linux firmware and is highly configurable firmware wise and hardware wise, it just depends on how far you want to go with it.
