  1. LinuxMCE
Categories: Software - Applications MythTV Linux
Excellent Video that gives a great rundown on what LinuxMCE can do. Media Centre, security centre, home automation plus much more as well!
  2. Leadtek DTV2000H TV Tuner Card
    Categories: MythTV Hardware
This card is surprisingly good, I never thought Leadtek stuff particularly bad, but there are so many success and dismay stories about Leadteks TV Tuner cards, this probably means they are popular and reasonably priced, so I guess many have been sold.

The DTV1000H was very popular among MythTV builders, I think this may be the next popular reasonably priced card just like it's little bro!
  3. Latest HTPC - Media Centre build
    Categories: MythTV Ubuntu
I have almost finished building another Media Box for a friend. Mythbuntu based.
  4. Linux to Windows Alternatives
    Categories: Linux
Ok so I pretty much despise windows these days, this is no secret, but I understand the unwashed masses will still flock to windows "cos it's easy" yeah right, as long as you sell your soul when you sign up lol.

Some would switch to Linux in a heart beat if they knew more about it and had someone to set it up and install it for them.
  5. Hauppauge Nova-T 500 MCE (OEM)
    Categories: MythTV
This is my personal review on the Haupaugge Nova-T 500 MCE TV tuner card.
  6. XOOPS
Categories: PHP MySQL Content Management Systems
I have been using XOOPS for a few years now, although not a Guru by any means, I do have a fair understanding of how things work. I am not great at PHP MYSQL or theme design lol, so what I am good at? Maintaining and configuring an XOOPS website. It's a constant learning curve for me, I try a little of everything that's involved in XOOPS. Make no mistake though, I read a lot!
  7. Hardy Heron - 8.04
    Categories: Linux Ubuntu
Ubuntus latest Beta Operating System is out now, Hardy Heron has arrived. My own early experience with it is looking very good.
  8. Internet Service Providers
    Categories: End User
I will attempt to explain all about ADSL1/2+ Internet Service Providers in Australia. Please note I will Link to Whirlpool extensively, this article is for those not so technically aware, hopefully they will learn enough from this article to go on to use websites like Whirlpool, for all the latest Broadband Information in Australia.
  9. LinkSYS - WRT54GL
    Categories: Linux Hardware
This is my first router, it uses Linux firmware and is highly configurable firmware wise and hardware wise, it just depends on how far you want to go with it.
  10. Quality of Service - The holy grail?
    Categories: VoIP
Voice over IP (VoIP) saves me a shitload, I am not what you would call a big user of the telephone, though I do know a few people interstate that I call on a semi-regular basis often talking for an hour or more.
