Zoneminder is a Linux video camera security and surveillance solution, it also has the ability to "plug in" to MythTV.

I have been using XOOPS for a few years now, although not a Guru by any means, I do have a fair understanding of how things work. There are cards in the Hardware category and the Software category,eg. most cards use the software drivers to do the work which uses the processing power of the CPU these are Software cards. Other cards (more expensive) do the hard work thats needed from the card themselves, allowing much less usage of the CPU, while doing there work.

My MythTV install was situated in an old desktop case, been that way for quite a while. It actually was quite a good case, but it was old, it didn't have any front I/O ports and although I don't absolutely need them they are very handy for transferring files from a USB flash drive. I have finally upgraded to a modern case that has everything I need.
